  • Shared space options per U to per rack.

Security

  • 47 closed circuit TV (CCTV) placed throughout the facility with video archiving. Security systems monitored 24/7/365.
  • Physical security for the building has four zones. There is a man trap at the entrance of the building, as well as at the entrance of the data center.
  • Every door in the data center (except restrooms and break room) requires card access.
  • Entrance to data center is controlled by biometric access points. Tailgate sensors at all data center doors prevent multiple entries.

Power
Edge BCC’s electrical system is designed with multiple levels of redundancy and scalability.

  • Service from two utility substation grids
  • 1,650 kW of on-site power generation capability
  • Four 500 kVA UPS systems, two per data center wired in series
  • On-site generators (24 hour capacity)
  • 100 watts/sf power density

Connectivity

  • Voice and data services available
  • Fully redundant, carrier-class Cisco Power Network, managed by Cisco Certified Engineers and Microsoft Gold Certified professionals dual path fiber topology with the ability to connect to each of the following Central Offices: DESMIADT, DESMIAEA, DESMIASO, DESMIANW, DESMIAAW
  • 20 pairs of redundant dark fiber strands available
  • Two DMARC locations within the building
  • 2 Gbps total Internet connectivity through multiple providers: Qwest, Level3, UUnet, AT&T, XO and Cogent
  • OC-48 SONET and 2 GB private metro Ethernet capability. Expandable to 24 dual-path, high speed connections of GigE, Fiber Channel or OC-48.

Mechanicals

  • Heating and cooling provided by packaged HVAC units. Units are located at the side of the facility to minimize roof penetrations.
  • Each data center is configured with an N+1 cooling configuration. The modular design of each data center has six 30-ton Liebert computer room cooling units. The system allows for simplified addition or replacement of cooling equipment with minimal disruption to data center operations. It also provides a more efficient method of cooling high heat density equipment configurations.
  • 180 Tons of cooling capacity per data center in an N + 1 configuration.
  • Max 134 Tons required to cool data center at full density.
  • Hot aisle / Cold aisle design with overhead down-draft cooling.
