Edge Business Continuity Center Receives Economic Impact Award
EdgeBCC recognized by the Greater Des Moines Partnership in 24th Annual Award Ceremony
DES MOINES, Iowa—October 26, 2006— In the 24th annual Celebrate Business awards held at the Des Moines Downtown Marriott Hotel, the Edge Business Continuity Center (EdgeBCC) was recognized today by the Greater Des Moines Partnership, RSM McGladrey and the Des Moines Business Record with an award for Economic Impact. This award commemorates the EdgeBCC and its joint owners LightEdge Solutions and LBC Technology for their significant impact on the community through expansion of operations, facilities and workforce.
“We view the construction and operation of this facility to be of great value to Des Moines”, stated Mary Bontrager, Executive Vice President of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, “We feel that the addition of business continuity services will ultimately make Des Moines businesses more resilient to natural disasters and other factors that could impair their ability to do business.”
The EdgeBCC, a newly completed business continuity center serving Des Monies area businesses, was given an award for Economic Impact due to the scope of its capital investment, the realization of a new facility to serve businesses of the metro and the addition of professional labor positions for the community. The EdgeBCC is a state-of-the-art facility used to provide unique risk mitigation and disaster recovery services for small and medium sized businesses in central Iowa.
