Power and Cooling

Power
Edge BCC’s electrical system is designed with multiple levels of redundancy and scalability.

  • Service from two utility substation grids
  • 1,650 kW of on-site power generation capability
  • Four 500 kVA UPS systems, two per data center wired in series
  • On-site generators (24 hour capacity)
  • 100 watts/sf power density

Cooling

  • Heating and cooling provided by packaged HVAC units. Units are located at the side of the facility to minimize roof penetrations.
  • Each data center is configured with an N+1 cooling configuration. The modular design of each data center has six 30-ton Liebert computer room cooling units. The system allows for simplified addition or replacement of cooling equipment with minimal disruption to data center operations. It also provides a more efficient method of cooling high heat density equipment configurations.
  • 180 Tons of cooling capacity per data center in an N + 1 configuration.
  • Max 134 Tons required to cool data center at full density.
  • Hot aisle / Cold aisle design with overhead down-draft cooling.
